A Holiday Wish and a New Class Announcement

Happy Holidays from Sekula Studio Goodness! Another year has come and gone. I hope you were able to accomplish all the things you set out to do. I am always reminded of the following quote when this time of year rolls around and thoughts turn to New Year's resolutions.  "A year from now you will wish you had started today." - Karen Lamb If you are feeling the same way, I would like to invite you to my upcoming classes. It would be an honor to help you in your art journey. Class size will be limited to 12 students and are on a first come, first serve basis. All information is listed below. Class: Oils, *all 2-D Media Welcome Time: 1pm-4pm Cost: $110, per 4-Week Session, studio fee included Location: New Braunfels Art League, 239 W San Antonio St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130 Classes begin Friday, January 9, 2015 How many times have you found yourself wishing you could paint more loosely and with more expressive brushstrokes? Please don't give up and pitch your paint brushes. I am confident that I can help you make some real progress, gain confidence and have a great time doing it. Some of my objectives are to help you see and understand edges-which ones are important to include and which ones to leave out-paint application with both brushes and knives, and the importance of brushstrokes. I will also do my best to help you to paint from your soul rather than get bogged down in rules and just copying what you see. *Primary focus will be on oils, but the principles of art apply to all media.
