Chamisa and Sage

 "Chamisa and Sage"
12" x 9", Oil on Linen, Mounted on Birch
Of all the plants that grow in the High Desert of New Mexico, these two are my favorites. They are both rugged and beautiful. When I saw this particular scene in a picture perfect composition...Well, I am truly at a loss for words. Oh, how I love New Mexico!

Thanks, Jude! I'm not sure this type of painting is what they have in mind.

This is beautiful. As a native New Mexican, now a New Texican, I was pleased to find your blog. I found it on Artists of Texas Contemporary Paintings and Art. I will follow along, now. I like the Cerrillos house, too.

Hi Jo, Thank you for the compliments on my work. It means a lot coming from a native New Mexican . It makes me feel I was able to capture my subjects accurately! Thanks for taking the time to look me up and comment on my blog. Where, in Texas, do you live?

Gaye, we live in Bastrop. Not too far. :) We come to SAT once in a while. Will try to stay in touch.
