This study is my favorite, so far. I love the gesture - you caught her well. I'm just wondering..... that is a tough pose for a model. How long did she have to hold it? If it was a quick pose, then I love your painting all the more!
Thank you, Bea. Yes, that type of pose is hard for a person to hold for long. Most of the sketches I am posting were done in 30 minutes and a couple in as few as 15 minutes so they are not THAT quick. The longest one was the first one, which is posted under the tab. I have been trying to figure out how to post them all under that tab but, so far, it is beyond me. Anyway, this series was not done with live models. It is from an art models book. It's not the same, of course, but I am trying to keep them as spontaneous as if they were from life.
