Cactus at Mission San Jose

There are so many beautiful things to paint at our area missions. The photo for this painting was taken early one morning. Hardly a soul had arrived so it was very peaceful. The sunlight was perfect.

A Really nice painting, Gaye! I love all the color you put into the shadow areas. I don't seem to have figured out how to do that yet.

Thanks Judy but I must admit to having a watchful eye guiding me. One who can see those colors far better than I can! I'm still trying to learn to see and sometimes wonder if I ever will. The good thing is that I learn something new with every painting. Wish I could discipline myself to be more prolific so I could learn all that much faster!
Thanks for taking time to comment.

I liked this one on first impression, Gaye! Especially the colors.
